Friends of Casco Bay - Temperature/Eelgrass Dive
July 20 meet at shop at 3:15, get to Willard Beach by 3:35 and in the water by 4. This is our eelgrass survey dive. We will be collecting data on a 100 foot transect using quadrats every 10 feet, should take about 40-60 minutes. One of our temperature loggers got pulled out from the ground so a small group of you will be tasked to place it back in the ground. If you do not need gear or want to meet us at Willard Beach that is fine, just get there by 3:30. Parking can be tricky so be aware of that. If you need to rent gear, please stop at the shop beforehand and grab it. Julie knows some of you will need to rent so make sure you arrive with plenty of time to spare.
This dive is free to join. If rentals are needed, 95$ for full set.

Joe Stellini, Hollis rep is bringing rebreathers and side mounts to Portland! Join us at the Westbrook Community Center May 16th to test out this cutting edge technology. Limited spots only so call the store to reserve your spot.

Join us Tuesday, ay 5th to kick start the beginning of our community science diving series! We will have two key speakers - Jeremy Miller from Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve and Sarah Freshley from Friends of Casco Bay, to enlighten us about the work they do and how we ill contribute to their data collection. Come learn how you can join our dives, what certifications you can get and how you can aid in the health of our local waters to bring purpose to your dives!
