Ever wanted to try scuba? This recognition course is for you! With the completion of the first three chapters of your E-Learning, you can jump in the pool and try scuba under the direct supervision of an instructor! It is perfect for anyone who is interested in the underwater world, and can be completed in a very short time.
This recognition can grant you experience and knowledge to move onto the Open Water Diver course. The Try Scuba program is a quick and easy introduction to the world of scuba diving. After you finish your Try Scuba experience, you will earn the FREE SSI Try Scuba recognition card, which will be available on your MySSI app.
Your instructor may introduce you to some of the basic skills used by certified divers. These skills enhance your enjoyment of the underwater world, and are required if you continue with the Basic Diver or Open Water Diver programs. Rental gear is provided.
Course cost: $300
Courses can be held every other Saturday at the Westbrook Community Center Pool (426 Bridge St, Westbrook, ME 04092) starting September 27, 2025.
